Breaking: Trump Says He Will Not Allow Israel to Annex West Bank

Share

President Donald Trump said he will not allow Israel to annex the West Bank, telling reporters in the Oval Office, “I will not allow Israel to annex the West Bank. Nope, I will not allow it. It’s not going to happen.”

Trump said he had spoken with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and made clear that annexation must stop.

“There’s been enough. It’s time to stop now,” he added.

The statement comes as some Israeli officials and right-wing factions have called for extending sovereignty over parts of the territory.

Trump’s comments mark a public rejection of those proposals at a moment of heightened tension over the conflict in Gaza and the broader region.

His remarks follow pressure from Arab leaders and European allies, who have warned that unilateral annexation would further destabilize the Middle East.
