Billie Eilish criticizes ICE during Grammys acceptance speech.

Pop star Billie Eilish used the Grammy Awards stage Sunday night to criticize U.S. immigration enforcement and urge public protest, delivering pointed remarks as she accepted the award for Song of the Year.

Eilish, 24, made the comments while accepting the Grammy for “Wildflower,” telling the audience she was conflicted about speaking but felt compelled to address the moment.

“As grateful as I feel, I honestly don’t feel like I need to say anything, but, that no one is illegal on stolen land,” Eilish said during her acceptance speech.

“It’s just really hard to know what to say and what to do right now,” she added. “And I just feel really hopeful in this room, and I feel like we just need to keep fighting and speaking up and protesting, and our voices really do matter, and the people matter.”

Eilish ended her remarks with an explicit condemnation of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, saying “F ICE,” a line that was censored during CBS’s live broadcast of the ceremony.

The singer has been an outspoken critic of ICE in recent weeks amid President Donald Trump’s intensified immigration enforcement efforts. Following the fatal shooting of Renee Good in Minneapolis last month by an ICE officer, Eilish shared a social media post describing the agency as a “federally funded and supported terrorist group,” according to media reports.

After another Minneapolis incident in which 37-year-old ICU nurse Alex Pretti was shot and killed by a federal immigration officer, Eilish also posted an Instagram Story calling on other public figures to speak out.

“hey my fellow celebrities u gonna speak up? or,” Eilish wrote at the time.

The comments at the Grammys drew a reaction from the show’s host, Trevor Noah, who followed Eilish’s win with a joke aimed at Trump.

“That is a Grammy that every artist wants,” Noah said, referring to Eilish’s Song of the Year award, “almost as much as Trump wants Greenland.”

“Which makes sense,” Noah continued, “I mean, because Epstein’s island is gone, he needs a new one to hang out with Bill Clinton.”

Trump said Saturday that a recent Justice Department release of documents related to the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein cleared him of any wrongdoing
