A Delta Flight from Minneapolis Airlines flight from Minneapolis-St. Paul crash-landed at Toronto Pearson Airport.

Delta Flight from Minneapolis Air Line CRJ900, Operating as Endeavor Flight 4819 from Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport, Crash-landed at Toronto Pearson Airport on Monday. Initial reports suggest the aircraft may have flipped due to strong crosswinds during its approach.

According to MSNBC, three passengers sustained critical injuries.  A child was transported to SickKids Hospital, a man in his 60s was taken to St. Michael’s Hospital, and a woman in her 60s is also being treated for critical injuries. Emergency crews responded swiftly, and all passengers and crew were evacuated from the scene.

“Delta Flight from Minneapolis connections Flight 4819, operated by Endeavor Air, crashed upon landing at Toronto Pearson Airport. The CRJ-900 aircraft (N932XJ) was traveling from MSP. The airport has reportedly shut down, and emergency teams are responding,” according to Airways Magazine.

“Delta Flight from Minneapolis is aware of reports regarding Endeavor Flight 4819, which was flying from Minneapolis/St. Paul to Toronto-Pearson International Airport, being involved in an incident,” Delta stated to Daily Mail. “We are gathering details and will provide updates as soon as more information is available.”

“Toronto Pearson is aware of an incident involving a Delta Airlines plane arriving from Minneapolis that crashed upon landing. Emergency teams are responding. All passengers and crew are accounted for,” Toronto Pearson’s official X account posted.

“We’re in Toronto. We just landed our plane crashed. It’s upside-down. Fire department’s on site. Most people appear to be okay, we’re all getting off,” said one passenger who recorded a video by the plane.

Peer Paramedic Services reported at least eight injuries following the crash, according to CityNews. There were reportedly around 80 people on board.

CNN stated that Canadian authorities will lead the investigation since the crash occurred in Canadian territory.

The Association of Flight Attendants released a statement after the crash-landing:

“Our union is responding to an incident in Toronto with Delta Air Lines Endeavor Flight 4819. AFA crew were working this flight,” the statement read.

“Reports indicate no fatalities. Please avoid speculation as everyone works to gather information and support those involved.”
