Elon Musk is set to visit CIA headquarters today at the invitation of Director John Ratcliffe, marking his first known trip to the intelligence agency. According to sources, Ratcliffe announced Musk’s visit at a CIA town hall on Friday, stating he wants to discuss “technology” and how it can “advance the mission” of the agency. The reaction among CIA staff was reportedly lukewarm, with some responding with skepticism.
Elon Musk has been leading President Donald Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) initiative, aiming to overhaul federal operations. However, Ratcliffe recently told Congress that DOGE has had “zero” impact on the CIA. Until now, no DOGE representatives had visited the CIA or the Office of the Director of National Intelligence.
Elon Musk’s visit follows a recent trip to the Pentagon as part of his government-focused efforts.
