Former national security adviser John Bolton said Tuesday he doubts China will reach a deal with President Trump as the tariff war continues. according to The hill
Bolton warned that the increase of import tariffs. saying “What Trump is doing is a huge opportunity for China and the world. These tariffs are a form of economic ignorance,” Bolton said during CNN’s “AC360.”
He criticized Trump’s understanding of trade‘s, saying Trump has no idea really what he’s talking about. He doesn’t understand how tariffs work,
John Bolton also noted that Trump sees the decline in trade and production as a profit and loss statement, calling that view wrong. “
What he’s doing is putting us in a very vulnerable position that’s probably the worst possible situation to go after the real problem country in the global trading system, which is China,” he added.
