The Kremlin has addressed President Donald Trump’s recent remarks about being “very angry” with Russian President Vladimir Putin over stalled Ukraine peace talks. Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov downplayed the comments on Monday, stating that some of Trump’s words had been paraphrased rather than directly quoted. He emphasized that Moscow remains engaged in discussions with Washington to rebuild relations and explore solutions for Ukraine.

Peskov noted that while work is ongoing toward a possible settlement, there are no concrete updates to share. When asked about a potential call between Trump and Putin this week, he said it was not currently on the Russian leader’s schedule but could be arranged if needed. Despite tensions, both sides continue diplomatic efforts amid disagreements over Ukraine’s future governance.
