Lara Trump: NYC Mayor Eric Adams ‘Willing to Work’ with Donald Trump

New York Mayor Eric Adams is making headlines after a interview with Lara Trump, where he expressed his desire to work with President Donald Trump and confirmed that he is no longer aligned with the Democratic Party.

“I respect the office,” Adams said, referring to the presidency. “There’s a president called Trump; I will work with that president to produce for the people of our city,” Adams says that he respects the institution of the presidency and it should be above all political differences.

During the wide-ranging interview, Adams discussed his decision to leave the Democratic Party and run as an Independent. “I didn’t leave the Democratic Party, it left me,” he said.

Eric Adams says, People told me, well, you know you left the Democratic Party, you know, the party left me,” Adams said.

I want to speak about what working people believe, feel, and are afraid of, and we can’t continue to be philosophical and rational and talk over the heads of people who are afraid.”
