Pierre Poilievre has Accuses Trump of ‘Betraying America’s Closest Friend’

Canada’s Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre has strongly criticized President Donald Trump for escalating trade tensions between the two countries. Poilievre, one of the strongest candidates in Canada’s upcoming federal elections, accused Trump of turning against a long-time ally as American tariffs weigh heavily on Canadian industries.

“President Trump is betraying America’s closest friend and attacking our economy. We must have to strengthen our economy and end our reliance on the United States,” Poilievre says.
