Rep. Al Green (D-TX) has been officially censured by the House after repeatedly interrupting President Donald Trump during his speech on Tuesday. The resolution, which passed with a vote of 224 to 198, saw 10 Democrats joining Republicans in voting for censure.
The move came after lawmakers introduced a resolution on Wednesday condemning Green’s actions, leading to a formal vote on Thursday. With this decision, Green becomes the 28th lawmaker in U.S. history to face censure from Congress.

Despite the disruption, Trump pressed on, highlighting his administration’s accomplishments: “I have signed nearly 100 executive orders and taken more than 400 executive actions to restore common sense, safety, optimism, and wealth across our wonderful land. The people elected me to do the job, and I am doing it.
After being removed from the chamber, Green stood by his actions, reaffirming his stance on Medicaid. “I’m not angry with the officers. I’m not upset with the members bringing the motions or resolution to sanction me. I will suffer the consequences,” he stated.
He added, “What I did was from my heart. People are suffering, and I was talking about Medicaid. I didn’t just say, ‘You don’t have a mandate.’ I said, ‘You don’t have a mandate to cut Medicaid. Report PM
