Rep. Thomas Massie Moves to Force Vote on Epstein Files Release

Representative Thomas Massie announced he will begin collecting signatures to advance a measure requiring the release of records related to Jeffrey Epstein. The move seeks to gather the 218 signatures needed to trigger a discharge petition, a procedural tool that can force legislation to the House floor even without leadership approval.

Massie said the effort is aimed at ensuring transparency and making all Epstein-related documents available to the public. The push comes amid growing calls from lawmakers and victims’ advocates for the full release of files detailing Epstein’s network and associates.

If successful, the petition would compel a binding vote on the measure in the House of Representatives, bringing renewed focus to one of the most controversial and closely watched cases in recent years.
