MLN,04/02/2026 Investigators found signs of forced entry at the Arizona home of Nancy Guthrie, the 84-year-old mother of “Today” show co host Savannah Guthrie, as authorities continued searching for her after she was reported missing over the weekend.

A person familiar with the investigation said the home showed evidence of forced entry as detectives worked to determine what happened.

Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos said his office was following multiple leads and urged the public to report any tips related to Guthrie’s disappearance. He warned that her medical needs made the situation urgent, saying she required her medication within 24 hours of going missing or the situation could be fatal.

At a news conference, Nanos declined to discuss whether there were signs of violence at the home, saying investigators were still processing the scene and awaiting conclusive results. He said, “We’re not getting into that,” adding, “like any crime scene, we process this crime scene.”

Savannah Guthrie appealed for public support, asking for prayers as the search continued. In a statement shared on social media, she said, “Thank you for lifting your prayers with ours for our beloved mom, our dearest Nancy,” and asked supporters to continue praying for her safe return.

The FBI said it is assisting local authorities. Assistant Special Agent John Edwards said, “We are doing everything in our power to bring Nancy Guthrie home to her family,” adding that federal agents were providing technical support, including work on phone and cell tower records.
