Trump threatens legal action after Trevor Noah joke at Grammys.

President Donald Trump threatened legal action Monday after comedian Trevor Noah made remarks at the Grammy Awards that Trump said falsely linked him to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Noah, hosting the awards ceremony in Los Angeles on Sunday night, joked about recent Epstein-related document releases and made a quip referencing Trump, Epstein, and former President Bill Clinton. The comments drew immediate backlash from the White House.
Trump responded on his Truth Social platform, stating he had “never been to Epstein Island” and calling the remarks “false and defamatory.” He said he would instruct his attorneys to pursue legal action, adding that the comment crossed the line from comedy into misinformation.
As of Monday, no lawsuit had been filed in public court records. Representatives for Noah had not issued a response.
The episode reflects ongoing tensions between Trump and prominent media figures, as well as renewed scrutiny surrounding public references to Epstein following recent document disclosures. Legal experts note that defamation cases involving public figures face a high bar under U.S. law.
