Whistleblower Claims Schiff Leaked Classified Info to Sabotage Trump

Senator Adam Schiff faces resignation demands after a Democratic whistleblower told the FBI he authorized classified leaks to damage President Trump.

FBI Director Kash Patel declassified documents Monday revealing the whistleblower, a career intelligence officer, warned federal agents about Schiff’s leaking starting in 2017.

The whistleblower worked for Democrats on the House Intelligence Committee for over ten years. He told FBI agents he personally attended a meeting where Schiff approved the leaks.

According to FBI interview reports, Schiff told the meeting they would leak classified information derogatory to Trump. He said the information would be used to indict the president.

When the staffer objected, saying it was illegal, other attendees reassured him they would not be caught leaking classified information.

The whistleblower was interviewed by the FBI six times between 2017 and 2023. He called the leaking illegal, unethical, and treasonous.

He also named Representative Eric Swalwell as a likely source of classified leaks.

Department of Justice prosecutors declined to pursue charges against Schiff despite the FBI evidence. The DOJ determined Schiff was protected under the Constitution’s Speech or Debate Clause.

The Democratic staffer said he was fired after raising concerns about the leak strategy. He claimed Schiff’s staff questioned his party loyalty.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt called the revelations a bombshell during Tuesday’s briefing. She said President Trump wants to see Schiff held accountable.

FBI Director Patel stated the documents show how officials used their positions to leak classified information for political purposes.

Schiff served as House Intelligence Committee chairman from 2019 to 2023. He was elected to the Senate in 2024 representing California.

The senator has not responded to requests for comment about the whistleblower allegations.
