Wisconsin Supreme Court candidate Susan Crawford is calling out Elon Musk’s involvement in the state’s judicial race, saying it’s “not democratic” for a billionaire to use his fortune to sway voters. Musk has poured millions into the race and recently gave away $2 million to two voters.

He’s also offering $20 to people willing to take a picture holding a photo of conservative candidate Brad Schimel. With the court set to rule on major issues like abortion and redistricting, the race has drawn national attention.

Crawford warned that if Musk’s tactics succeed, it would be a “sad day for democracy.” Still, she believes voters will see through the strategy.

When asked whether focusing on Musk could backfire, she said it was necessary to address such an unprecedented situation but stressed that her campaign remains centered on bigger issues.
